Asperger: The HypoSocial Human 
Part three:
I was formally diagnosed as ‘autistic’ about ten years ago as part of this ‘free’ program. (Listed on all of my medical printouts, along with some of the (currently bogus) other things.
So, at least now I have an explanation as to ***why*** ‘acting Normal’ is both overwhelmingly difficult and more-or-less not worth the costs, i.e. ‘merely normal’ is nowhere near good enough.
I would need to think, perceive and act like a personality-disordered social predator to actually ‘join the gang’ named society; and more, even that would not be enough.
I would more or less need to BECOME such a person to ***want*** that kind of life – to get that mythical ‘complete brain-transplant’ that Normdom seems to mandate for people like me.
It makes me wonder : would society actually ***prefer*** full blown thirty-plus psychopaths, or their Narcissistic brethren, to more-or-less ***harmless*** autists?

I actually wanted to comment on the Elon Musk video. But there´d be much to think about and to ask… It´s no “light stuff” to me. I was reminded of your post “German language to the rescue” when yesterday I came across another list like the one you presented, done by a quite emotional German woman (in Enlish). It might be enjoyable.

On second thought, perhaps it isn’t a matter of inexpressable feelings on our part, but a ***need*** to reduce what we experience to the ‘too stupid by a parsec’ expectations plastered onto us by Normdom?
In this wise: Normdom sees us, collectively and individually, as ‘subhuman and defective’ (because, 1) we’re not Normies, and 2) we’re not worshipping our normal betters, who ‘have rank on us’.)
Because of our lesser being status, we are ***supposed*** to regard all Normies as if they were, uh, ‘ascended masters’/ small-g gods, with rapt attention, instant unquestioning obedience regardless of consequences, speaking when commanded, and other forms of ***slave*** behavior.
Normdom sets itself up as the standard, with social intelligence its chief – and frequently only area of strength; and therefore, our intilligence otherwise must match our lack of social/political/Machiavellian intelligence, e.g. ‘maximum leader says “2 + 2 = 5”, lower ranking Norms buy it because Maximum Leader says it’s true – and were supposed to buy it also – though we are to buy that lie as frank objective truth, NOT using Normdom’s infernal doublethink!

Yes, German, the language. seems to have a certain facility of “being romantic” (?) about hard-edged perceptions such as “life sucks” or am I getting it all wrong?

Uh, perhaps more precise – objectivity, er, **Sachlichkeit** – which is a noun, and is therefore capitalized. Also, I’m not certain as to it’s gender – masculine, feminine, or neuter – and whether one needs to congugate it.
(Duh, they ***told*** me I needed to take a foreign language as part of college preperation, and I took German. Four years of it…forty years ago. I still can read it ‘passably’ – and, at least some times, can sort-of follow ***some*** movie dialogue…)

Languages! My brain goes “blank” when confronting the mechanics. I have never taken an English language course, only literature, and learned to write by reading great writers! I “studied” French, Latin and Russian, and Latin was by far the most useful (vocabulary) and influential – and “familiar” So concrete; concise and visual. “Alea iacta est” What a sound; what an image! What depth of awareness of decision and consequence. The Romans knew how to “build a narrative” – Being able to read / pronounce the Cyrillic alphabet was about it for Russian, and a “saying” that I still love: “My hut is on the outskirts of town; I know nothing!”

I don´t want to be too nerdy, but I feel the urge of offering you my thoughts on the beautiful word “Sachlichkeit”. In some way this word brings to the point what the list of German words that Gone Wild offered us could be about: That the German language has a lot to offer to Asperger individuals to express their thoughts and feelings in more precise way – or a way that comes closer to the thought or feeling itself. (Still with all the flaws that word-language has)
I think there´s no word for “Sachlichkeit” in the English language. “Objectivity” would translate to “Objektivität”. “Dispassion”, “relevance” or “objectiveness” also don´t come too close to “Sachlichkeit”. “Sachlichkeit” is being focused on (or discussing) the purpose, the cause, the topic, the facts, the problem, the object… and strictly leaving out personal stuff. Leaving out social competition, personal gain, bias, status, ad hominem arguments, feelings, (Except if those things would be the topic, in which case they would be adressed objectively and bluntly). As you see it´s a concept with which people stuck in what you call Normdom struggle a lot. (Don´t want to give you a false impression about who is replying to your comment. I´m certainly no Asperger individual, but an asocial being and alien to the extraverted and delusional social bullshit world)
And, as a German, I have to get technical. before ending this reply. Not to bore you; it´s no “Selbstzweck”, but explaining. “Sachlichkeit” is a female noun. I think all nouns with the suffix -keit (or -heit) are. This suffix is like your “-ness” or “-ivity”. Building up to “Sachlichkeit”:
“Sache” means (Yes, you know) “thing”, “case”, “matter”, “cause”, “object”, “affair”, though there are other German words for each of these.
“sachlich”: the suffix “-lich” (in English “-y” or “-ly”) produces an adjective or adverb. “Bleib sachlich!” is a very common term in discussions. It´s “stay factual!”, “stick to the point!”, “remain objective!” and so on.
“Sachlichkeit”: “-keit” produces a noun again.
So, what would be a literal translation? “Objectiveness” is built the same way, but stilll, it´s not the thing!
In case you knew all this already: forgive me, please!

Odd, a ***picture*** is trying to come through of what Sachligkeit ***is***.
My first and best language – the fallback, if you will – is pictorial. I can think in three simultaneous dimensions (or could; it was much easier years ago, but age and ill-health have ‘turned me a turnip’.)

Aaahh, old age turniphood. I’m rather enjoying it; when I can’t remember things or start dithering over … what was it? I realize that I no longer feel I must think about “stuff” and relax like a bowl of boiled mush…
