Another Way to Look at Crime / Predators Choose Their Prey

The statistics from the DOJ for violent crime 2012-2013: For the first time Hispanic violent crime numbers were separated from white violent crime numbers, allowing for a comparison of perpetrator choice of victim. Wouldn’t it be a new day if we could talk about crime, not as a “social team scoreboard,” but as a person to person attack, that is as a perpetrator – victim / predator – prey situation, in which every victim counts, and individual perpetrators are held responsible for their actions? That would be an equality-based system.

The victims of violent white criminals are overwhelmingly white.

The victims of violent Hispanic offenders are almost equally Hispanic and white.

59% of the victims of black violent offenders are non-black.
