  1. Yes. Exactly so. They’re usually more aggressive and arrogant, though (and accusing you of being arrogant while you’re only being rational).
    My favorite example is explaining the possible outcomes of rolling a dice. After you’ve done that, you get statements like
    – but couldn’t it also be eight? -4? 2,38? Pi?
    – how do you know, smartass? We haven’t even rolled the dice yet.
    – okay, we rolled it and it,s a five. And you pessimist had feared it could be a one. Yes you did. I clearly heard you say that you think one could be a possible outcome.
    etc.
