Psych Ideas / Time to Grow Up

Link goes to: History of Psychology by C. George Boeree, a professor at Shippensberg University, PA.

I chose this “version” of the history of psychology because it is straightforward and unencumbered by jargon, and introduces terms and notions that began in Ancient Greek thought, but which we use / argue over today – and reveals how these concepts have been inverted, adopted, co-opted, altered and have lost the original meaning in many cases. It is obvious that our thinking about being human and of our place in the cosmos, or the “scheme of things,” remains unresolved, because we are fighting social, religious and philosophical battles that are over 2,000-3,000 years old! No one owns the universe or the fate of humanity.

Isn’t it time to grow up intellectually?
